Former
Tannadice hero Dave Bowman is returning to his old club to help
coach Dundee United’s promising youngsters. Bowman is currently
with Forfar, although he is serving a lengthy suspension, but
has accepted a part-time position back at United where he will
help coach the club’s S-form signings two nights a week.
Bowman’s new
Tannadice commitments will not therefore interfere with the continuation
of his playing career at Station Park. "Dave has a wealth of experience
as a player which will be invaluable to our young hopefuls," said
Alex Smith. "Just as important, he’s got United in his blood and
can help us produce good young players in the traditional Tannadice
mould."
Bowman’s
appointment to the coaching staff coincides with the arrival of
a new clutch of S-form youngsters from across Scotland this week,
with the new intake including recruits from Aberdeen, Edinburgh,
Dundee and Glasgow. ©The
