Raging
Jason deVos last night told any other Tannadice dressing room
"enemy" to have the guts to tell him what he thinks to his
face. The giant Canadian was stung by ex-team-mate Alex Mathie's
attack on his character. DeVos said: "What Alex has said is simply
not true. Anyone who knows me will appreciate that. His allegations
are nonsense. I was always very friendly towards Alex while he
was here and I have never gone behind his back or anyone else's.
"Why he would
say such things is 3 mystery and I can t understand his motive.
"It's the first time I've ever had that sort of criticism lev-
elled at me, which makes ft all the more surprising. It's a one-
off — and rt isn't something I'm going to lose sleep over. "It
annoys me he didn't have the guts to say what he did to my face.
I've been captain of United and Canada for two years. I couldn't
have kept the arm- band if I'd been guitty of what Alex accuses
me of doing.
"There's
no way it would have been tolerated by the players, nobody would
put up with that." at Tannadice.
