Latest News from Tannadice.

Mvondo Atangana believes the Dundee United fans will think they've struck Olympic gymnastic gold when one of his overhead kicks bulges the Aberdeen net. The striker is only 21 but he's already buried SEVEN bicycle kicks in club football back home in Cameroon and another for his country. The United faithful got a tantalising taste of things to come in the Dundee derby in midweek — when he rattled Rab Douglas's bar with a spectacular effort. That was just Atangana warming up. Aberdeen' s Ryan Esson might not be so lucky in today's New Firm showdown. He said: "It's natural for me to do overhead kicks, I'm always trying to do it. The fans will get used to seeing it. "I've scored eight in my career so far, seven for my clubs and one for my country. Football is a form of entertainment and I like to put on a show. "I tried it against Dundee and I was very unlucky.

But if I get another chance I'd like to think I would put it in the back of the net. "It would be great to make my first goal for United an overhead kick I'd have some celebration with the fans'" Atangana was just 11 when African legend Roger Milla lit up Italia 90 with his brilliant skills and saucy celebrations and now he wants to do the same. He was a virtual unknown before his switch from Cameroon minnows Yaoundi to Tannadice. But he is out to make a big name for himself, and he doesn't lack ambition. He said: "I want to be the best player in the world and I want to score a lot of goals.

"Dundee United opened the door for me in British football and it's up to me to do my best for-them. "Everyone dreams of being the new Roger Milla and l'm no different. He is more than a footballer — he is an ambassador for our country. "He is a role model for every young player in Cameroon to copy and work hard to try and be like him. "My dream would be to play for an even bigger club like Celtic or Manchester United. "I believe in my own ability. I'm still very young and I have a lot to learn but if I keep work- ing hard I can do it." ©Supergoals.com
